COVID19-Coronavirus Information

Greetings and welcome in the saving name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for your interest in Mt Carmel Church, OPC, Somerset, New Jersey.

In view of concern regarding the spread of the Covid 19 Coronavirus and following the recommendations of our Federal and State governing authorities, as well as the CDC, we at Mt Carmel Church have taken the following precautionary measures:

1) Cleaning and disinfecting all high use surfaces, bibles and hymnals.

2) Discontinued coffee and food service temporarily.

3) Providing hand sanitizer in the lobby area of the church.

We also encourage the following:

1) Refraining from kissing, hugging or shaking hands during greeting time.

2) Hand sanitizer provided in lobby or soap and water in restrooms.

3) Recommending that anyone with symptoms of fever, coughing or sneezing remain at home.

4) Recommending that those regarded as “high risk” for respiratory infections (those with heart, respiratory, diabetic or immune conditions) consider not attending corporate worship.

5) We provide access to past sermons from Mt Carmel Church posted at: Click here

Thank you all in advance for your loving cooperation. We trust God who is Lord over all. Our Creed says He’s “the Lord and giver of life”. We trust Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life to give life to those who cry out to Him in faith and trust. At the same time, we want to be wise and guard and protect those at high risk among us.

May the Lord rise even in this situation with healing in His wings. (Malachi 4:2)

In Christ's mighty love,

Pastor Greg Pilato

on behalf of the Mt Carmel Church OPC session

"But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings." Malachi 4:2 NKJV

Members & friends, in submission to our governing authorities seeking to protect public health and lives in the midst of the virus outbreak, we would like to encourage you with the following:

1. We want to encourage you from the Word of God:

a) “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.” Philippians 4:6

b) “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7

2. We encourage all heads of households and lovers of the Lord Jesus to worship at home with all available family members each day and especially Sunday, the Lord’s day. Let’s take advantage of extra time at home. Get into the word together, pray and sing your favorite hymns and spiritual songs.

3. Proclaim the hope of eternal life you have through Jesus Christ our Lord to someone who needs to know. People have a lot of anxiety and we have a great opportunity to share the hope we have in Jesus.

4. Stay in touch. Call or text to encourage your brothers and sisters in Christ, because we need each other.

In Christ's covenant love,

Pastor Greg Pilato

on behalf of the Mt Carmel Church OPC Session
